(OCTOBER 7, 2008, PERRIS, CALIFORNIA)     The annual Southern California, which began last Saturday and runs through Sunday October 12th, has taken over Perris Auto Speedway for this week.  Known as the “Bud Light Arena” during the fair, the venue will play host to concerts tonight through Friday and motorsports events on Saturday and Sunday. 

 

Tonight, October 7th, Disney Star Raven Symone will be on main stage.  The Beach Boys will be the feature entertainment on Wednesday with Three Dog Night taking over on Thursday.  The fair concert series will close on Friday with contemporary christian artist Jeremy Camp.  All of the concerts will begin at 7:30 PM. 

 

On Saturday the 11th, it will be the high flying action of Freestyle MotoX and Trophy Carts beginning at 1:30 PM.  Sunday the fair will host the annual Demolition Derbies promoted by Sunnyside Promotions.  The first derby will be at 1:30 PM with another at 7:00.

 

The Lucas Oil USAC/CRA Sprint Cars, presented by Temecula Valley Pipe & Supply, will return to The PAS on Saturday October 18th.  They will be joined by the PASSCAR Modfieds.  Second generation racer Chad Boat of Phoenix, Arizona and 1986 & 1987 CRA champion Brad Noffsinger will both be in action the 18th.

The Lake Perris Fairgrounds is approximately one hour east of Los Angeles and one hour North of San Diego.  To get to the track, take the 215 freeway, exit at the Ramona Expressway and go two miles east to the fairgrounds.
